The support was fine, but the wire poked out of the bra the second time I wore it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HoustonLeaann Great product that fits perfect!
I am so happy I bought this one for my trip to Vegas. It fit snug but comfortable and made my dress look perfect! I am 5'6" and 117 pounds and it couldn't have fit any better. It also has an opening in the crotch for easy bathroom breaks. I definitely recommend this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by THaggs Great support for post-surgery!
My doctor recommended the slim cognito shape-suit after I graduated from wearing a post-stomach surgery compression suit. I currently own 4 of these - 2 nude & 2 black. It's very comfortable and gives great support where I still need it, especially around the midsection. Because of the design, I can wear the suit under many shirts, blouses, & dresses and it doesn't stick out. The suit makes everything look smooth and beautiful! There are removeable underwires which do provide a little chest support. You can wash the suit on a delicate/hand-wash cycle, but do not throw it in the dryer. It retains its shape and compression well!
There are only 2 cons: 1) When wearing the suit for 6-8 hrs, I find myself pulling it up. Even with the straps adjusted, I have to readjust them during the day. The suit tends to "slide" down, but I've gotten good at slyly pulling it up. 2) There is an open crotch which makes going to the bathroom semi-easy if all you have to do is urinate. If you need to do more than that, you must undress and pull the suit down because the opening is not large enough to take care of other necessities.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stickler Nice garment BUT...
It should come in various bra sizes AND much longer legs, I am positive they would cell like hot cakes and be the first to carry it in the market.
The material needs to be silky so that it slides and not stick to clothes.
I would personally purchase a dozen of them!! And give it 10 stars, if it were possible.
The garments that allow for ones own bra, are way too clumsy and cumbersome under thinner materials.
The mid-thigh length cannot be worn under slacks, since the moment one sits down, it becomes noticeable (regardless of one size, I am an 8 with 36DD).
The garments that have a high waist, roll down and the the ones with normal waists, show the break.
In conclusion, if one is wearing a slim evening gown, Spanx cannot accommodate. Hard to believe!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nanette Please make an open-bust version of Slim Cognito
I EASILY would have given this shaper five stars if it had an open-bust design. The slimming power combined with nice shaping in the rear make it a favorite over my open-bust Slimplicity shaper. The underwire top, however, didn't give me enough shape without my bra and wearing it with my bra was too much compression. I considered cutting out the bra area, but wasn't convinced the top trim attached to the straps would work out. Please make an open-bust version!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kaybe I'm short
I am a curvy 5'4" so the suit leg comes right to the top of my knee. Fine for longer dresses but for shorter ones, I've tried folding the leg under or over. Let's see how that works. I'd appreciate knowing how others solve that issue as well as how to wear pantyhose. Don't want to wear them over as it will create another layer/line. But what are the options if you don't want to have to undress to answer nature? Stockings with elastic to tuck under the leg? I like the fit of the suit and what it does for my profile in a dress. When others mention flattening "the girls," I actually welcomed that. The only issue there is that the cups are unlined. (Back to high school and using bandaids as camo??) I wanted something carefree enough to enjoy my dressed-up self, but find that, alas, this still isn't it. I'm somewhat ambivalent...but somewhat pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by lori Nice fit around legs and butt but...
I am 5'8, 125 pounds and normally wear a size 2-4. I don't have a weight issue but I have a cellulite patch just underneath each butt cheek in that highly inconvenient saddlebag area. I bought the slimcognito shape suit in hopes of compressing and smoothing out that area so I could wear tight light pants more confidently.
Honestly the small doesn't really make me smaller but it does shape my problem area and it does smooth out the lumps. I particularly like the fact that it compresses just below the butt giving my butt a nice rounded athletic shape, which I most certainly do not have naturally!!
That said, tall women out there should be weary of this product. The trunk is too small so the bra area crushes your boobs and pushes them down - Definitely the last thing you want going on upstairs! I wish Spanx would make the slim cognito without the built in bra. I'm about to purchase the slim cognito shorts to see if that suits my body better.
In terms of length, it would be nice if it ended at the knees where pants naturally bunch. I can definitely see the line mid thigh through tight white pants, which kinda defeats the purpose. When I wear white pants I have to put on tights over the shaper to hide the obvious mid thigh line. Not very practical in the summer months which is when most people would want wear tight white pants!
