I'm a big fan of shapeware and really like the offerings of Spanx products. The Slim Cognito High-Waisted Mid-Thigh (New & Slimproved) is lovely under dresses - a natural look for great waist definition and butt lift. Did not care for this product with pants, but it is my new favorite for under dresses and skirts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nisey Total Disappointment - Bring back the old design
Next to no compression. Extremely disappointing. I thought I had ordered the wrong size! I was excited to add a black item to the nude one in my wardrobe. I had no idea the product had been redesigned and is essentially useless now.
Mine also 'got a runner' in it after only 3 uses. I returned it, but I am not sure what I'm going to use in this item's place.

I practically live in these. They are extremely comfortable and take me down at least one size in everything. I put on a pair of jeans that have been snug since I bought them with these and they fit perfectly, even a little loose in the waist! This is an amazing product. You will not be disappointed.

Bring the old ones back! I love the old Slim Cognito Spanx, which are smooth, seamless, and do their job without the bulk. I owned 2 pair for 5 years before they started to wear out. I got online to order more only to find the "new and slimproved" version. I ordered them, and could not be more disappointed. There are seams everywhere, the fabric is thick and not smooth at all. I have owned this pair for 4 months and already the fabric is pilling all over, there are several holes in the seams in the crotch and waist band, and the fabric has actually unraveled so bad around the waist band seam that the hem is no longer holding together. I paid over $80 for this pair and now will have to purchase a new pair. I got 5 years of use out of my old ones, and barely 4 months use out of the "new and slimproved" one. It was $80 down the drain, total disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HappyGoLucky DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GARMENT
Its pretty obvious that the quality has completely tanked with this "updated" version. I have tried 3 different sizes and they ALL failed to provide coverage. The legs are too short. They roll up no matter what you are wearing. There is ZERO compression with this product. You are almost better off wearing a pair of the pantyhose. They seem to provide more compression than this garment. I have been wearing this style of spanx since I had my son 8 years ago and to say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. Cheaper does not always equal better. It is very apparent that they have decided to cut corners to save money. I wonder if SPANX will do right by their customers and return to the old product.?! I wasted over $100.00 ( on two different sizes). Please pay attention to what your customers are saying. We want the old spanx back.!!!

I have been a loyal spanx customer for a while. This was one of my favorite products. New and improved is wrong. Less compression and feels cheaper. My old ones that are years old do a better job by far

I like the others loved my old Slim Cognito. I use it for medical reasons, but will not buy another of the new ones. FAR less compression, shorter legs and they roll up. By the time it gets to the top it is stranglng. I'm looking for something else!

This is kinda a waste of money. Feels cheaper and doesnt do as much. Also when I put on pants over it it makes the legs roll up. Very uncomfortable. Bought the old version and it was much better and did more. Will not buy from spanx again as all other plus sizes are even less effective. I really liked the old version. This just sorta feels like a swimsuit with legs. The legs are also too short which is very uncomfortable.
