I bought 2 of these and I wear them all the time. I like the open bust. I can wear any bra without my breasts getting that smashed look. While these do work well, I wouldn't describe them as super duper slimming. More like super. They could be a little more fitting. They also tend to run a bit large. I bought my normal size but ended up having to exchange it for the next smaller size because it was too big. I also don't get the breast lift. Maybe for smaller breasted women. But I didn't notice a difference. But I would definitely recommend this for everyday wear. It is not uncomfortable and you forget you are even wearing it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lety23 Comfortable but runs large
I bought this hopeing it would slim down my mid section. It is very comfortable but it does not feel tight at all. I normally wear a size 16 or 18 in dresses so I got an XL. It does not tighten at all. It is nice being able to wear my own bras with this bodysuit since I have a large bust but the straps keep rolling over and sticking out to the sides. I still like it and will probably wear it but I will need to get a smaller size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SophieNicole Panty line alert!
I have the Skinny Britches mid-thigh bodysuit, and I love it. But unless I layer pantyhose under it, there's visible lines at the thigh. So I tried on this one at Nordstrom's, and thank goodness I did, as it runs large. The panty lines were terribly obvious, but Nordstrom didn't yet carry the Star Power line, so a thong open-bust bodysuit wasn't available. Bottom line: looks awful in pants and jeans, but fine in skirts and dresses. I've always been a fan of Spanx. I'm 5'7, 130 pounds, but I love the way Spanx smooths everything out. However, unless you buy a mid-thigh or thong shaper, you will have to deal with very visible panty lines. I am looking forward to wearing the Star Power open-bust thong shaper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by momoftwo Terrible product!
I got this as a best selling product and at almost a $100 I expected more. I was really disappointed. It didn't hold my post baby stomach. I"m not sure what the hype about spanx is about because its awful! And now I have to pay to return it! I'm over the brand

It's uncomfortable under the arms. It doesn't feel as tight as most slimming products should feel. It does give a smooth look under clothing, but its just not tight enough. I expected more for the cost. Still looking for a tighter compressing garment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rmnw74 I would definitely wear it in a smaller size.
I overestimated the size I needed so it did not work for me. If I had gotten the smaller size, I think I would have been pleased. But it is money wasted on my part. I would return it for a smaller size had I not worn it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by emgm11 Not strong enough
I ordered the XL ( i'm a size 14/16 dresses) and i found that the open-bust bodysuit is simply not as nearly as strong as labeled or as I expected. Perhaps I need a smaller size? The stomach section was ok - i did not find the torso too long like other reviewers despite my height of 5'4". Panty lines were one of my main concerns and you have to wear a thong with this thing to avoid them. The back and buttocks sections of the body suit did absolutely nothing to "shape" those areas for me.
Overall, the open-bust body suit is very comfortable, but I think it loses power in doing so. I recommend this product to those who don't want a lot of constriction/shaping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SarahphinaSunset It's good, but it could be better
I tried the Slimmer & Shine High-Waisted Body Tunic because I wanted something with straps to hold it up. Unfortunately, the straps are not adjustable so the suit kept slipping down. This was uncomfortable because the suit caused back pain and uneven slimming. So I decided to try the Slimmer & Shine High-Waisted Body Tunic. The straps are adjustable and the suit provides even coverage for even slimming. This suit was much more comfortable. It caused no back pain. The slimming level is great. It took me in a full dress size.
I have one criticism for this suit: the back neckline is too high. It cannot be worn under tank tops or anything with a lower neckline. I would prefer a lower neckline such as the one on the Boostie-Yay! Slimming Body with Bra Top, although I would like to maintain the open bust instead of the bra cups. I would reorder this suit if Spanx introduced the exact same suit but with the lower back.
