I'm hourglass and my main reason for this top is that I wear cami's every day and wanted something to smooth the bumps around my bra line and my waistband. I have 3 colors. LOVE them. I switch them daily. The fabric is like strong hosiery. Imagine a cami made from the control top portion of your nylons. I love that it's so thin, and it keeps my belly from jiggling and it just makes me feel confident as well as smooths my bumps. Like I said, I kind of let my dieting slide because my squish is tamed. Another reviewer said that the top was short. Seriously wondering if that was a different product bc I have had that problem with other spanx cami's but this one is actually kind of long. That's another plus for me. The large can stretch to low hip easily and I am 5'9" 160lbs. In fact, I got one of these for my apple shaped mother who is only 5'4" and she had to return it, because the xl that she needed was so long on her it was like a dress, and the m that was the right length squeezed too hard in the arm opening. She is about 180. So at least in my experience this product is nicely long. May 5, 2013

It is also a great layering piece and I love the all over compression - I feel slim and trim every time I wear it. I would recommend sizing up as this top runs small.
