Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it's name implies I love the Slim Cognito Mid-Thigh Shaper. It's so comfortable, it's almost like wearing nothing. There's no pinching or "smashing," just a comfortable "hug." It makes my clothes look much nicer, and it makes me feel firmly held in place without being squeezed. Rated 4 out of 5 by Recommend with reservations I started buying these three years ago as a way to help control a medical condition, they were commended by my physical therapist. I really love them too, but the last 5 pairs that I've bought have had the waist pull out after the first washing. I've had black and nude, they both pull apart. I don't know what changed in the manufacturing, but obviously something did. I will continue to buy these because they are better than any other shaper I've tried. I just feel that paying $62 for a pair of panties that start falling apart after one or two wearings is rediculous. After the waitst pulls out they roll, but they are still wearable. Good thing for me since all mine have the waist out. April 8, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Recommended, but not in Black I have purchased two of these in black, and the waistline of each pair has completely come apart. I have a pair in nude, and that has not been an issue. The most recent black pair I purchased started coming apart right out of the package. As I pulled them on, a hole appeared on one side of the cotton crotch lining, then another hole on the other side. The waistline started unraveling after the first wearing. Needless to say, I am completely disappointed in the quality of this item and certainly the cost for something this poorly made. March 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Every girl's 'must have' shape wear staple! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE and more LOVE!!! I have finely found my saving grace to my booty. As a women's boutique owner, wife and mother of 2, it is imperative for me to find that perfect piece that will hide my flaws and enhance my "I wish I had" assets on a daily basis. I am 5'9, 130 lbs, size 4/6 with a pear shape body. I unfortunately have the typical cellulite saddle bags with the classic flat droopy rump that sways 'to' and 'fro' and seems to consistently jiggle like the second hand of an old watch with every small step I take. For years I've battled the 'double butt' look and swore I would hopefully one day get liposuction and a brazilian butt-lift...until I found these particular spanx! They are my new favorite 'must have' under garment!! I can't seem to brag enough about them. They are marketed as the Mid-Thigh Shaper and this they hold true too, but they are actually PERFECT for getting that temporary booty lift!!! ...talk about instant gratification! This shape wear minimizes my thighs and somehow magically pushes my saddle bags up into those booty pockets while lifting my entire rump up. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband even says they "wake-up" my butt...lol. I am now addicted to them and have to wear them all the time...under dresses, denim, leggings, skinny jeans, skirts and even under linen drawstrings. No need for a sales person...they sale themselves. I would recommend them every female for the new 'must have' staple :-) March 11, 2013
