Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice fit, weak stitching I really like this product. It is not too tight, but snug enough to cover through unlined pants. The only problem is that the crotch area has a tendency to rip. I had to return my first pair and get them replaced. The next pair I was really sensitive to the possibility of it getting holes it in...and it did again! It's frustrating because I really like the way they fit. I'm going to keep them anyway and hopefully they will last awhile! May 19, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Desperately needs to be redesigned -- seams rip These are incredibly comfortable and flattering -- could be the perfect Spanx product, but they suffer from one serious flaw. The seams at the crotch gusset rip very easily. I bought several pairs and ended up returning all but one because they ripped after a single wearing. The ones I kept were only slightly more durable. I only wear them very occasionally, saving them for special occasions and tight dresses, but despite getting very little use, even the one pair that seemed not to be defective is falling apart. I was so hopeful that early customers' feedback about this problem when the product was new would result in Spanx coming up with a fix, but I see from the recent reviews mentioning the same problem I had that this product is still defective. Please, please, please redesign this product to fix this problem, Spanx! May 5, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product!! I do not wear dresses or skirts because I have big thighs and they rub together and that not only bothers me but makes me sweat and it's just disgusting. I have older Spanx thigh shapers and underwear and never wear them because they're not comfortable and the waist rolls down and the thighs squeeze. I recently bought some cute maxi dresses for the coming hot South Florida weather and I knew I had to try Spanx again or I'd never wear these dresses. I ordered a couple of styles to try and ended up keeping this one. It's almost perfect! The thighs don't dig in and create and bulging whatsoever - I think those who are complaining about that probably bought a size too small. I would normally have thought I would be, overall, a size medium but I went with the large in this and it fits me perfectly. Also, the waist band stays put and does not roll at all. I didn't want or expect sucking in, just smoothing and something to keep away the skin to skin contact between my thighs and this is perfect! The ONLY negative I have to say about these is that the material isn't exactly silky smooth - the 100% cotton dress I'm wearing doesn't "glide" over the Spanx, it gets "stuck" in place against the Spanx if I pull the dress up at all.
