I am 5'6" and weigh 165 lbs. I am short-waisted. My rear end is large and my tummy is not as flat as once it was. Skinny Britches are my favorite new shapeware. They are comfortable and sheer enough for clothes to slide over them. Most importantly, the fabric is lightweight enough that I do not sweat while wearing them! Several reviewers complained about the length - Although I would love for these shapers to be a couple inches longer, they are not too tight around my thighs, nor do they cause a line.

I'm amazed that something so delicate works so well holding in my abundant thighs!!!!!!!!!!

I like that they are lightweight. I've worn them twice and haven't had any problems with runs or holes, so the quality seems to be good.
I wish the top band fell on my natural waist. Each time I wore them, I had on dresses that were supposed to be cinched at my natural waist. Because the top of them sits below my natural waist, the elastic waist of the dress kept getting pulled down to where the top of the skinny britches sat. Also, it showed indentations around my thighs. I know that is hard to avoid unless you have almost zero fat on your thighs, but I do have similar shorts from another company that don't do that quite as much. The only thing about those is that they are not as lightweight.
I am thinking I may have been happier with the high waisted version.

I was so excited to get these. I ordered 2 pair from Zulily. I put them on to see if they would work and at first I thought great. When I put the same pair on the next morning they had stretched enough that they kept rolling down. Boo!
I have bought a lot of Spanx products and this is the first to disappoint.

I love the slippery fabric of these shorts. All of my pants glide on over them and they feel great. That being said - my one big complaint is that they are not long enough. They leave a visible ring around my thighs that is visible even through my jeans. It's embarrassing. Everyone I walk past should not be able to tell I am wearing shape wear.
I will wear regular control top pantyhose until you make these in a knee length (not Capri) version! In the exact same strong silky smooth fabric. I will not purchase another pair of Spanx until that time.

The mid-thigh bulge is very obvious. They also tear quite easily. I do like the slippery fabric so they don't feel like they are sticking to my clothes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by lotusflowermama NO fat on your thighs? NOT wearing under pants? Then this MIGHT work for you!!
I'm an athletic build, 5' 2.5", 118 lbs, but am not as tight as I'd like to be (at 44, things heading south, a little more jiggly), so I bought these to go under some Athleta-brand pants that are kind of like a jersey fabric (but not tight). Well, these were NOT good! I think the butt was probably good (made me feel nice and firm - yay), but where the short ended on my thigh (and I do NOT have a lot of extra fat or skin, just some), the bulge was evident, and you could TOTALLY see the line under the pants (and, again, they were not clingy pants)! Plus, as other reviewers stated, NOT having any kind of edging look and feels cheap, and doesn't look like it'll stand up to much wearing (or even just a few). I have an older pair of Spanx that I bought about 5 years ago (couldn't tell you which ones, but they're very similar to these, just a little heavier-weight), and those are way better-made and work better, too! So, I'll stick with those! Maybe the fault lies with these intending to be lightweight, and that's why they feel this way, but no thanks. Sending back.

I was disappointed in the Skinny Britches short. After a few hours of wear, the waistband begins to feel very tight and constrictive. I'm very average and do not have a big waist. I could see a "panty line" across my thighs through my jeans, too, which was kind of embarrassing, like I was wearing a tight girdle. A quick stop in the airport ladies room and the entire waistband ripped, leaving a big gaping hole I had to put up with until I could finally change clothes.
Not comfortable and not durable.
