Rated 4 out of 5 by TexasTinaDJ Good for tummy shaping for special occasion
This product was overall good. It is perfect for tummy shaping under a strapless or a bridesmaids dress with a weird neckline (mine was a halter/racerback hybrid). The cups don't offer any support which is a little disappointing. Also, this garment works best when worn with underwear. The sales girl told me I should go commando with it and it was a BIG mistake. Bottom snaps are tricky but you get used to them. Putting them on initially takes teamwork. For the most part it is very comfortable. But if you wear this for an extended time (more than 3-4 hours) you will start to feel uncomfortableness from the boning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Luna12 I really was hoping this would work!
I was hoping this would work under my wedding dress! Everything seemed to fit perfectly except for the bra - I didn't feel like it provided enough support and am returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dklk Glad I went with it
I was looking for something like this for under my wedding dress. I almost didn't go with this one due to the reviews - but I'm glad I did.
Fit wise - I'm 5'10 and size 8 - I went with a large and it fits perfectly. It doesn't slouch or move around. I even wore it while riding my bike to my fitting and it stayed perfectly in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MHarkins Underwire bra digs into skin, very uncomfortable.
I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order (will never do that again). This product was recommended by my sister who is more petite than I am. after receiving the item and trying it on, the wires on the bra dig into my to my skin and it is very painful. I called my sister and asked her if she was experiencing the same problem and she said yes, to remedy this situation she pads the ends of the wire with cotton. For the price that I paid I do not feel I should have to do this. I also google other reviews (not from this site) and too many bad reviews stating the same thing. I feel that maybe the design group should go back and try to do something with this issue. You do have a great product but as I do not wear shoes I have to break in, I also do not want to wear anything that is painful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Janiels I like the product.
I really like the product. My only recommendation is that the cup size should be available to choose. While I am a medium body size, I have DD cup size, so the cup is a little small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lizx I'm buying it again, but for a different reason.
I like this Spanx because it looks so discreet under sheer/chiffon blouses. I like that it has a strapless version. The reason why I prefer this over wearing a regular cotton camisole is because I don't like straps and I also find it more uncomfortable to wear three layers of clothing—bra, camisole, sheer blouse.
Bandeau-type undergarments don't work for me either because they have a tendency to fall thanks to my barely there cup A.
I have this in extra small and I use it not for giving me a "slimmer" figure, but just because it works with sheer clothes. That's it.
I can't wear this with my tight tube dresses for slimming or "smoothening" my silhouette, because this actually doesn't have a slimming effect at all.
It gives you a "slimmer" waist from the front and back because of the cinching effect, but on the side, you actually look fatter. Think of a flat piece of clay: When you try to pinch it to make it look narrower, the clay will build up its thickness.
Also, my "behind" isn't really that fit or firm, so when this spanx isn't worn properly with tight jeans (jeggings) or a tight dress, I get a supremely visible panty line and a rather lumpy looking behind. Good thing I made this observation before stepping out in public! (Spanx won't let me write something else other than "behind.")
Finally, this is a pain to put on, especially when it's new. I'm not the tiny type of "extra small". (Believe me, there is such a thing!) Putting this on at 7 in the morning on an empty stomach makes me break into sweat sometimes. One time, it got so tough that I had to wake up my boyfriend to help me get into it! (So not sexy. Good thing we're comfortable with each other like that.) Taking it off is even worse!
Pro-tip: Don't ever try taking this off from the top—you'll hurt your chest and your face. And you'll look even funnier when the Spanx gets all bunched up around your armpit with your arms raised up in the air. Then you have to call your partner to help you get it off because you can't bend your elbows.
Why am I buying this again? Because I wear this often. Over time, the Spanx somewhat loosens ever so slightly and you become good at squeezing yourself in. Then it's not so much of a problem anymore.
